KEY ACCOUNT & SALES MANAGER
The Porter Group and its sales company, Eagle Equipment is looking for a suitably experienced and qualified person to fill this role within the sales team, to be based at its head office in Hamilton. The successful applicant will have a proven record of experience and success within the industry, and specifically within the sales field.
This is a hands on role and will involve plenty of field sales activity and key account handling, as well managing and leading a group of territory managers.
The Role
Your assignment will be to coordinate a team of 8 to 10 territory managers and lead sales activity across a portfolio of construction and forestry contractors. You will have an active sales role with an assigned territory, building profitable relationships and maximising revenues from key contractors in relevant market sectors.
Key Skills Required
Demonstrable track record of success in sales of construction and forestry equipment.
· Extensive knowledge of construction equipment and applications thereof
· Sales management ability

Eagle Equipment - Territory Manager Tauranga / Coromandel
Eagle Equipment Ltd is recognised as the leading supplier of superior equipment and services to the New Zealand heavy equipment industry.
We are the Australasian/South Pacific distributors of Hyundai Construction Equipment and we also sell other leading brands including Airman mini excavators, Astra dump trucks, Sandvik mobile crushers & screens, LogMax harvesters and Furukawa rock breakers.
We seek to employ a Territory Manager for the Tauranga / Coromandel region to manage an existing client base and drive sales of new and used equipment.
The person we seek will be able to demonstrate:
A keen work ethic, knowledge of construction equipment and an ability to work independently but contribute to the Group effort.
They will also need to possess basic computer skills, accuracy with numbers and paper work, good communication skills and a desire to succeed.
The person we seek will have a positive outlook, a “can do” attitude, strong customer focus and willingness to exceed customer expectations and a desire to succeed.
Good personal presentation and communication skills are essential.
